Jason Smith

Vice President, Key Accounts

Jason Smith is the vice president of key accounts at ClimateCHECK. He manages the company’s strategic marketing, customer relations, business development, and operations in the U.S.

Prior to ClimateCHECK, Jason was the executive director of LiveNeutral, a non-profit organization he co-founded in 2005, which focuses on educating individuals and companies on how to reduce their carbon emissions. LiveNeutral was also one the first North American companies to offer retail carbon offsets for driving, flying, and home-based GHG emissions. During his tenure at LiveNeutral, Jason helped facilitate numerous CO2e offset initiatives at major organizations, such as TransGroup Worldwide Logistics, American Electric Power, Williams-Sonoma, DuPont, and University of Colorado’s Environmental Center.

Jason earned his MBA in sustainable management from Presidio School of Management. He received his bachelor’s degree in environmental ethics and economics at the University of Oklahoma. Jason is a faculty member at the Greenhouse Gas Management Institute and authored the course on guidance for the Carbon Disclosure Project’s corporate respondents. Currently, Jason also sits on the board of Climate Cycle, a fundraiser created to bring renewable energy to public schools across the country.
